21-11 Current Issues: Time and transport
I live about two hours away from the University and my everyday journey is a mess.
When I have to take transport I have options:
>Independencia Highway to Mapocho
>Caletera to Mapocho by Independencia Highway
>Estación Central by Panamericana Highway
>Estación Central by Liray (takes more time) and the Panamericana.
>Vespucio Norte.
The thing is that the time you arrive depends of the time you take one of these. Here is an example:
To Mapocho by Independencia is about one hour to one hour and a half. Caletera is usually one hour and fourty five minutes. Estación Central by Panamericana
is between fourty five minutes or one hour and a half, it could be more if you it takes the detour of Liray and Vespucio Norte is between fourty to an hour of travelling.
The problem is that you can't take to Vespucio Norte after 7 am and that's because those buses are entirely full. So if you take to the other places the problem is not the first travel, it's the second, because the fastest way to get to Juan Gomez Millas is using metro. And it's always full or people that won't use every space in the wagon. I mean, come on, how can you be that selfish!
And if you don't use the public transport during the high traffic time, well, you are guaranteed to at least spend two hours and a half of your day.
Please, be nice to people using public transport and specially the ones that live far away.

ResponderEliminarI'm sorry Max, but be patient, when you live in Santiago, your transportation times will be shorter.
